Wow what can we say! Great day for the Falcons today! 2 School Records TJ Hansen 14:41.6 and Clara Kaczor 18:14.1. 8 PR’s on the boys side and 2 PR’s on the girls side! We had 3 medalists with TJ Hansen (1st), Clara Kaczor (10th), and Karie Keefer (40th) out of the Elite Division which had the best runners from every division in one race. Men finished 24th out of 36 and the ladies finished 7th out of 33!
Huge Performances from Daniel Stutzman and Andrew Hillborg for breaking the 20 minute barrier for the first time and from Gabby Dallas for dipping under 21 for the second time! Lots of positives as we get ready to head in October’s Championship season!

This meet was crazy good for us! XC is more than about times, it’s all the little things that go into race strategy and lineups to progress towards the end of the season.
Some fun facts.
Clara Kaczor won the D3 title for the second year in a row moving to number 35 in a tie with the great Rachele Schulist from Zeeland East for Holly all time marks (Rachele was 4th at the 2014 NCAA D1 Championships when MSU won the national title) so pretty good company.
We had 5 girls place in the top 35 and 7 of the guys medal in the varsity race! You got it, 12 medalist in the varsity section!
Girls won for the second year in a row and the boys finished in 4th meaning both brought home hardware.
In the jv race, we had 5 boys in the top 35 and two inside the top 4! Girls had 3 inside the top 35 and one in the top 10!
Medalist…. Varsity Girls: Clara Kaczor, Karie Keefer, Isabel Reinke, Ellie Thering, and Gabby Dallas
Varsity Boys: Camden McLeod, Sam Nemeth, Nathan Anaya, Austin Kloha, Jackson Horn, Chase Somers, and Jackson Jaworski
JV Boys: Devlin Johnson, Noah Dallas, Andrew Hillborg, Riley Minnis, and Daniel Stutzman
JV Girls: Jenna Kowalski, Addie Avram, and Hayden Swartz
Two breakout performances today that really stood out to us coaches from each gender was Isabel Reinke’s season best and near lifetime best on not the fastest course we run on all year! Ellie Thering’s solid performance that gives this team that rock as we play around with the lineup and need some stability!
Boys side we had to pick between both varsity and jv. Austin Kloha had a great breakthrough today following the game plan well and he finished really strong moving up and placing top 25! In the JV race we had two that we just had to say, with Devlin Johnson’s top 3 performance and Andrew Hillborg’s 11th place and lifetime best show’s we have great things in store with these young guys!
So many positives from this meet making the early mornings going from middle school to high school so worth it! Great job to everyone!

Wow is all I can say about how the team executed today! All but two with either a lifetime best or a season best!!! A school record on the girls side Clara Kaczor 18:15.90 beating her former babysitter’s school record done by Breanne Lesnar (18:18). We had a team championship with the girls narrowly edging a very tough Frankenmuth and the boys performances bringing them closer to some top end teams in our great state!
The hard part is I can’t do many individuals justice because they ran spectacularly so I will try and just highlight two from each side for today!
Jackson Horn crushing his PR to get into the 17:40’s and Riley Minnis running a sub 19:40 which was his first time sub 20 but we saw it coming!!!
Girls side, Gabby Dallas (20:52)and Emily Lasceski (23:44)dropping big PR’s!
Our tee shirt winners were
Guys side Sam Nemeth and Camden McLeod Girls side Clara Kaczor, Karie Keefer, Jada Prescott, Gabby Dallas, Ellie Thering, and Isabel Reinke
More to come but very proud of this team today!
