What. A. Day!!! 1 State Champion!, 4 School Records, 7 all-staters! 

Boys 4x800 (TJ Hansen, Nate Niederquell, Jacob Alexander, Braydon Honsinger) finished in 3rd.  All members ran PR splits for a new school record by 6 seconds running 7:50!

Alyssa Spegel picks a great day to throw a career best and earn all-state in the shot put finishing in 8th place.

Sam Talaga propelled some mild disappointment in Discus into Shot Put by throwing a School Record of 50’-5.5” to finish all-state in 7th!

Haven Vasold followed Sam’s lead and took her disappointment in the 100H and decided to prove seed times wrong!  Seeded 8th Haven ran a huge PR to finish 4th overall and all-state in the 300 hurdles.

Braydon Honsinger wanting to add to his all-state resume had a heck of a run in the 800 running a new school record time of 1:54.44 to finish 3rd overall!

TJ Hansen took part in some history today.  It was the first time in history that we had 2 heats of the 3200 run with 49 qualifiers.  The top two runners time wise this outdoor season would be running in the slow heat, because of their slow regional seed.  Typically time doesn’t matter because there is only one heat.  This year time actually did matter.  The top time out of the ‘slow’ heat was 9:16.99.  TJ knew what he had to do and made it look EASY.  In 3rd through the first mile running an honest pace, but with a plan to ratchet the pace down in mile two.  His mile splits 4:41/4:30 for a finish time of 9:11.56.  Introducing your STATE CHAMPION 3200 meter runner!  Also lowering his own school record on the day.
