Softball Game One: Freeland vs Norway High
The lady falcon's came out hot in game one of the morning with a 14-0 5-inning run rule victory. Freeland's Jenna Kowalski led the offense; Kowalski had four base hits, including 1 double and a triple and 3 rbi's. Emma Deshone added three base hits and 2 rbis, and Grace Deshone and Brynn Jaime added two hits multiple rbi's. Brielle Coffey got the win in the circle, pitching 5 innings and 7 strikeouts.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Three Rivers High
The lady falcon's played in a epic offensive battle in game two of the morning with a 17-14 7-inning victory. Freeland's Madeline McDonald led the offense; McDonald had two base hits, including 1 single and a home run and 4 rbi's. Grace Deshone, Jenna Kowalski, and Isabel Reinke added three base hits with Kowalski tripling and Deshone homering. Emma Deshone, Brynn Jaime, Madeline McDonald, and Sophia Price tailed two hits. Sophia Price got the win in the circle.
Softball Game Three: Freeland vs Escanaba - Championship game of tournament
The lady falcon's played determined but eventually fell to a very talented Escanaba team 10-0. Freeland's Emma Deshone led the offense; Deshone had a double. Brielle Coffey took the loss in the circle.
Freeland will be on the road this Tuesday at Frankenmuth for a TVC doubleheader.
Freeland is 12-10 and 6-0 in Conference play.
Coach comments: The girls continued to improve as a team this weekend. They competed every inning and never took an inning off. Their focus is awesome to see.

Softball Game One: Freeland vs Midland High
The lady falcon's battled in game one of the double header against Midland High but eventually fell to the Chemics 18-8 in non-Conference play. Freeland's Emma Deshone led the offense; Deshone had three hits. Madeline McDonald and Sophia Price contributed with two base hits apiece. Sophia Price but took the loss in the circle, pitching 4.1 innings.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Midland High
The lady falcon's rebounded in game two of the evening with a 16-6 run rule victory. Freeland's Madeline McDonald led the offense; McDonald had three base hits, including 1 double and a home run, and 6 rbi's. Jenna Kowalski added three base hits, and Grace Deshone added two hits and 3 rbi's. Brielle Coffey got the win in the circle, pitching 5 innings.
Freeland will be on the road this weekend in Escanaba for a weekend tournament.
Freeland is 10-9 and 6-0 in Conference play.
Coach comments: The girls showed good determination tonight rebounding from a rough start in game one tonight. This group of girls
bought into the team softball concept and play for each other and that is refreshing to see.

Softball Game One: Freeland vs Ithaca
The lady falcon's battled in game one of the double header at Ithaca but eventually fell to the yellowjackets 8-4 in non-Conference play. Freeland's Madeline McDonald led the offense; McDonald had two hits and 2 rbi's. Jenna Kowalski and Brynn Jaime contributed with two base hits apiece including a double for each. Brielle Coffey pitched well, but took the loss in the circle, pitching 7 innings.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Ithaca
The lady falcon's rebounded in game two of the evening with a 8-2 victory. Freeland's Jenna Kowalski led the offense; Kowalski had four base hits, including 2 doubles, a triple, and 3 rbi's. Brynn Jaime and Madeline McDonald added two base hits each including a double by Jaime and 2 rbi's by McDonald. Sophia Price also added two hits in the win. Sophia Price got the win in the circle, pitching 7 innings and 4 strikeouts.
Freeland will be at home Tuesday for a TVC Conference double header against the Bearcats of Bridgeport.
Freeland is 9-8 and 6-0 in Conference play.
Coach comments: The girls hard work is starting to show on the field. They are getting better as a team each game.

Softball Game One: Freeland vs Bay City John Glenn
The lady falcon's took down the Bobcats from Glenn 13-9 in TVC Conference play. Freeland's Jenna Kowalski led the offense, Kowalski had four hits, one being a Homerun and 5 rbis'. Grace Deshone, Brynn Jaime, and Abby Smith contributed with two base hits apiece while Madeline McDonald added two rbi's with clutch hitting. Sophia Price got the win in the circle, pitching 7 innings and 9 strikeouts.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Bay City John Glenn
The lady falcon's took down the Bobcats for the series sweep in game two 8-5 in TVC Conference play. Freeland's Brynn Jaime led the offense; Jaime had three base hits and 2 rbi's. Jenna Kowalski, Jess Meyette, Abby Smith, and Emma Deshone added base hits and rbi's. Brielle Coffey got the win in the circle, pitching 7 innings and 4 strikeouts.
Freeland will be at Ithaca next week Monday for a double header.
Coach comments: The girls played good softball for the most part in tough wind conditions. The wind tonight may have been the worse I have seen in 20 years of coaching. We got some great contribution from the younger falcons tonight...the future is bright!

Softball Game One: Freeland vs Lake Fenton
The lady falcon's lost to the Blue Devils of Lake Fenton 12-2 in nonconference play. Freeland's Grace Deshone, Brynn Jaime and Aubrie Ayers led the offense with a hit a piece. Sophia Price took the loss in the circle.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Lake Fenton
The lady falcon's lost to Lake Fenton in game two 8-6. Freeland's Grace Deshone led the offense, Deshone tallied 3 hits including three singles and 2 rbi's. Emma Deshone, Madeline McDonald, and Sophia Price contributed with two hits each. Avarey Roberts took the loss in the circle.
Freeland will be at Bay City John Glenn on Tuesday for a double header.
Coach comments: Our team played much better in the second game tonight. We just couldn't close it out. We will rebound quickly and get better for next week.

The Lady Falcon's took down the Graber Dukes 6-2 in TVC Conference play. Freeland's Brynn Jaime and Sophia Price led the offense, Jaime had a triple and a single including 2 rbi's while Price added two clutch singles. Jess Meyette and Jenna Kowalski contributed with a base hit a piece and a rbi. Sophia Price got the win in the circle, pitching 7 innings.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Garber
The Lady Falcon's defeated the Graber Dukes for the series sweep in game two 8-3 in TVC Conference play. Freeland's Jess Meyette and Sophia Price led the offense, Meyette had a double and a single including 3 rbi's while Price added a double and single and 2 rbi's. Brynn Jaime added another double and Madeline McDonald hit a very important triple to include 3 rbi's. Brielle Coffey got the win in the circle, pitching 7 innings.
Freeland will be at Lake Fenton tomorrow for a double header.
Coach comments: The girls executed much better tonight. We have been working on a few things and their hard work and dedication got rewarded tonight for two important conference wins. We got contributions from everyone tonight and that's as important as any stat you can read.

Softball Game One: Freeland vs Swan Valley
The Lady Falcon's offense tallied 13 hits at Freeland High to claim a come from behind 9-7 conference victory. Freeland's Madeline McDonald had a crucial double in the sixth inning to score two runs and secure the lead for good. Jenna Kowalski led the team with 3 hits including 2 doubles. Jess Meyette, Brynn Jaime, Grace Deshone, and Madeline McDonald added two hits apiece. Sophia Price got the win in the circle, pitching 7 innings.
Softball Game Two: Freeland vs Swan Valley
The Lady Falcon's offense registered 10 hits at Freeland High to claim a 10-9 conference victory. Freeland's Jess Meyette led the team with 3 hits including a two-run home run. Jenna Kowalski and Sophia Price added two hits apiece. Brielle Coffey got the win in the circle, pitching 5 innings and Sophia Price collected the save.
Freeland will be at Beal City tomorrow for a double header.
Coach comments: The girls grinded out two nice conference wins tonight. The team is working hard as a complete unit and that's fun to see. We look forward to getting better each and every day this season.

Game One - Freeland vs Ogemaw
The lady falcon's offense was on fire early on a cold Saturday morning at Freeland High but feel short 10-8. Freeland was led offensively by Jenna Kowalski who had four hits including a home run and two rbis. Jessica Meyette contributed 3 hits and 2 rbis. Aubrie Ayers took the loss in the pitching circle, throwing 1 inning and surrendering three hits.
Game Two - Freeland vs Midland Dow
The lady falcon's offense was on fire in game two of the weekend tournament at Freeland High but feel short 16-11. Freeland was led offensively by Jenna Kowalski who had four hits including two runs scored. Madeline McDonald contributed 2 hits and 4 rbis while Jessica Meyette had home run. Aubrie Ayers took the loss in the pitching circle, throwing 1 inning and surrendering five hits.
Game three - Freeland vs Unionville Sebewaing (USA)
The lady falcons battled a well-respected softball program in U.S.A, for the final game of the weekend securing a win, 5-4. Freeland was led offensively by Madeline McDonald and Grace Deshone with two hits apiece. Jenna Kowalski added two rbis. Sophia Price took the win in the pitching circle, throwing 7 innings.
Coach comments: I'm proud of our team, we competed in all three games. We look forward to next week's games.
Softball Hosts Alpena

Game One - Freeland vs Alpena
Jenna Kowalski drove in five runs on four hits, including a home run, to lead Freeland past Alpena 14-4 in a six inning run rule contest. Freeland offense also included Madeline McDonald with 2 hits including a home run, Grace Deshone with 3 hits, and Emma Deshone with 2 hits. Sophia Price got the win in the pitching circle, throwing five innings and surrendering four hits.
Game Two - Freeland vs Alpena
Freeland fell to Alpena in the second game of the doubleheader 15-6 in a 5-inning shortened contest due to daylight. A second inning explosion from Alpena, scoring 8 runs, proved to be the difference. Grace Deshone and Jenna Kowalski led the Freeland offense. Grace hit a three-run homer int he fourth to get things started. Abby Smith took the loss in the circle for the lady falcons.
Coach comments: The girls played well as a unit, but we have plenty of things that need some work now that we can get outside.
