Freeland Keeps Divisional Title Dream Alive

Freeland Varsity traveled to Frankenmuth last night in a conference battle, each team going into the match undefeated. Freeland won in a 5 set thriller match losing the first two sets 23-25, 15-25 bouncing back to reverse sweep 25-20, 25-21, 15-13. Freeland is now 5-0 in conference play and 21-8-2 overall.
Freeland was led by Senior Maggie Elliott with a career high of 37 kills hitting .289% on the contest and contributed 16 digs. Defensively Freeland had a group effort with Mia Maxwell with 21 digs and Tori Caudy with 14. Katie Sprague had 47 assists.
Freeland will host Bay City Central on Tuesday, October 27th at 6:30 for senior night, and then travel to Alma on Wednesday, October 28th for their final conference match.
Volleyball travels to Glenn

Freeland Varsity won against John Glenn, 25-13, 25-13, and 25-5. It was a great team win, leaders on the evening were Maggie Elliott with 18 kills, hitting .517%, with 4 aces. Christy Cole and Addie Seemann had 4 and 8 kills a piece. Mia Maxwell had 17 digs and Katie Sprague had 29 assists.
Freeland is now 20-8-2 and 4-0 in conference play.
Volleyball Travels to Cadillac

Freeland Varsity attended the Cadillac Invitational going 3-2 on the day. Freeland defeated Pine River in pool 25-18, 25-13, 25-13 and lost to Traverse City Central 22-25, 17-25, 17-25. They made it to the Gold Bracket and lost to Grand Rapids West Catholic 25-19, 19-25, 11-15. Freeland had another opportunity to place third, beating Ostego 25-15, 25-17 and Swan Valley in the consolation games 22-25, 25-17, and 15-13.
Freeland was led by Maggie Elliott with 65 kills, 28 digs, and 8 aces. Junior setter Katie Sprague ran the offense with 114 assists. 12 aces, and 28 digs. Addie Seemann had 39 kills and Junior OH Makayla Maniko showed a strong performance with 26 kills this weekend.
Freeland is now 19-8-2 this season and will travel to Cass City on Thursday.
Varsity Remains Undefeated in Conference Play

Freeland hosted Garber last night for a conference match. Freelond won in 4 sets, 18-25, 25-11, 25-16, 25-21. Maggie Elliott led the attack with 24 kills. Katie Sprague had a night for the Falcons with 37 assists, 5 kills, and 14 digs. Aubrie Ayers stepped up at the service line during the contest with 4 aces and had 14 digs. Freeland is now 3-0 in conference play and 16-6-2 on the season.
Freeland Defeats Swan Valley in Clash for a Cure Match

Freeland hosted Swan Valley home for the Clash for the Cure game. Freeland won in 4 sets, 25-23, 25-6, 17-25, and 25-17. Maggie Elliott led the attack with 23 kills, Katie Sprague had 32 assists and Mia Maxwell had 18 digs during the contest. Freelands front row had a great night with 44 total kills and 8 blocks. While the back row had 59 digs during the event. They are now 2-0 in conference play and 15-6-2 on the season. They play Garber next Wednesday at home in a big conference match.
Volleyball Spends day in Petoskey

Freeland traveled to Petoskey this weekend and went 2-2. They won their pool against Cheboygan and Boyne City, then got reseeded into the final pool play games against Kingsley and Petoskey. Freeland lost to Kinglsey in 2 sets and Petoskey in 3.
Maggie Elliott led all hitters with 57 kills, 29 digs, and 5 aces. Katie Sprague led the offense with 53 assists and 9 aces, while Mia Maxwell had 48 digs and 5 aces.
Freeland is now 14-6-2 on the year and plays Swan Valley on Wednesday.
Volleyball Wins

Freeland swept Bridgeport last night 25-5, 25-4, 25-5. Freeland was led by Maggie Elliott with 12 aces and 9 kills, Addie Seemann and Makayla Maniko each had 6 kills each.
Freeland travels to Petoskey this weekend for a tournament and are now 12-4-2 on the season.
Freeland Runner Up at BC Central Tournament

Freeland Varsity took 2nd place at the Mitten Bay Classic hosted by Bay City Central. They went 2–0-1 in pool play. Defeating Marquette and Reese, they split against Bay City Western.
In bracket, they played host Bay City Central and defeated them in two sets to advance to semifinals where they played Midland Dow. They won in 2 sets against Dow and faced a very strong Traverse City Central team. The Falcons lost the first set 15-25, won the second set 25-19, and lost in the third in a very exciting game 22-24.
Freeland was led by Senior Maggie Elliott with 66 kills, 10 aces, and 45 digs. Senior Addie Seemann had 42 kills, Senior Christy Cole had 6 blocks, while Junior setter Makenna Strzynski finished the weekend with 83 assists.
Freeland is now 11-4-2 this season and will play Bridgeport High School Wednesday for their first conference matchup.

Freeland Varsity swept their home quad last night.
Freeland vs Gladwin : 25-21, 25-16
Freeland vs Beal City : 25-18, 25-18
Freeland vs Powers: 25-18, 25-19
Freeland was led by Senior Maggie Elliot with 33 kills and 21 digs. Makenna and Katie set up a balanced attack with 28 and 27 assists each. Freeland travels to the Bay City Central tournament on Saturday.
Varsity Volleyball Wrap Up

Freeland varsity volleyball attended a quad on Wednesday at Holly High School. The girls went 2-1 for the evening, the first game lost to Birch Run in 3: 27-26, 13-25, 12-15. They swept Goodrich 25-22, 25-17 and Holly 25-18, 25-15.
The falcons were led by Maggie Elliott with 28 kills and 30 digs, Makenna Strzynski and Katie Sprague set a balanced offense with 27 and 26 assists each.
Freeland has a home Quad on Wednesday.
