The Freshmen Falcons hosted Division 1 Lapeer High School on Thursday September 14th and
suffered their second defeat of the season losing 14-0 to the Lightning.
The Falcons would start the game with the ball and would eat up almost 9:00 minutes of the 1 st
quarter, but the drive stalled, and the Falcons turned it over on downs. The game would be a see-
saw battle through the first half with neither team finding the endzone. The Lightning would
find the endzone on the first possession of the 2 nd half and it was 7-0. The Falcons would
struggle to sustain a drive and would not score, while the Lightning would find endzone one
more time in the 4 th quarter and the final score would be 14-0.
The Falcons Offense was led by Ryan Watkins who had 16 carries for 80 yards and Nico
Goodenough who had 9 carries for 30 yards. Quarterback Drew Darrow would complete 2 of 4
passing for 22 yards. Robbie Mularz had one of those catches for 14 yards.
The Falcon Defense would be led by Nolan Cunningham who registered 7 tackles, 1 for loss, and
Michael Lutz would have 7 tackles as well. Jace Lindauer and Mathew Aulds would have a
fumble recovery each.
The Freshmen Falcons play home again Thursday September 21st against Flushing High School
with a 4:30pm kickoff.
