The Freshmen Falcons hosted Division 2 Midland High School on Wednesday September 7th
and suffered their first defeat of the season losing 7-6 to the Chemics.
The Falcons would struggle to start the game not playing their best football, the Chemics would
capitalize and score first mid way through the first quarter, they would add the extra point and
the Chemics led 7-0. The Falcons would find the endzone in the 4 th quarter when Ryan Watkins
would plunge in from a yard out, the try for 2 would be unsuccessful and the Falcons trailed 7-6.
The Falcons would have a couple other opportunities to take the lead but were unable to
capitalize on them.
The Falcons Offense was led by Nico Goodenough who had 13 carries for 42 yards and Ryan
Watkins who had 12 carries for 32 yards and a touchdown.
The Falcon Defense would be led by Michael Lutz who registered 7 tackles, 2 for loss, and an
interception. Carter Williamson would add 5 tackles.
The Freshmen Falcons play home again Thursday September 14th against Lapeer High School
with a 5:00pm kickoff.
