Freshman team wins in 3 vs Swan Valley

JV wins in 2 vs Swan Valley (27-25, 25-21)

Varsity takes a loss in 3 vs Swan Valley (19-25, 23-25, and 25-27) Addie Seemann had 6 kills, hitting .294 in the contest. 

Freeland places 3rd at Mitten Bay Classic

Freeland Varsity traveled to Bay City Central for the Mitten Bay Classic on Saturday. The Falcons went 4-1 on the day, taking 3rd place in the gold bracket. 

Freeland started pool play against USA defeating them 25-18 and 25-20, defeated Bay City Central 25-12 and 25-16, and Alpena 25-20 and 25-19. 

During bracket play, Freeland opened up with Midland High, defeating them 25-19 and 25-13 to move on to semi-finals. Freeland then played conference foe Garber Dukes during the semi-final round losing in a 3-set thriller 18-25, 25-21, and 16-18. 

Freeland had many great performances throughout the weekend, some highlights are Maggie Elliot with 31 kills and 26 digs, Chloe Winchell with 26 kills, 9 blocks, and hitting .291 on the weekend. Lily Hileman had 24 kills and 26 digs, Laken LeBaron had 82 assists, 25 digs, and 13 kills, and Mia Maxwell led all defenders with 40 digs and 16 aces on the weekend.
