The Falcons traveled south to play the host Flint Powers for a warm regional semi-final match.

Freeland knew they had to bring their A game to match 4th ranked Flint Powers on their home field.

Freeland took the opening kickoff and went to work.  Matching Powers possession and withstanding some early attacks.  The Falcons struggled to find an attack of their own but hung toe to toe.

Powers finally broke down the Falcons in the 19th minute when an attacker drove the ball deep towards the goal line, placed a nice pass in front of the box for a 1-0 lead.

Freeland continued to push forward giving tremendous effort.  The 28th minute saw the second goal off a Powers corner kick and a 2 goal lead was built.

Freeland looked to cut the lead going into half but Flint Powers had other ideas.  They found their 3rd and 4th goal from distance later in the half to take the commanding 4-0 halftime lead.

Knowing their season was on the line Freeland refused to give up in the second half, but the game remained scoreless the rest of the way.
