With a slight chill in the air the Eagles of Frankenmuth traveled to Freeland for a Monday night battle with the Falcons.

Frankenmuth started with some early pressure that was withstood by the Falcons.  Freeland started mounting an attack of their own.  Senior Ethan Gosen sent a well placed cross into the box where fellow senior Amani Niedzielski and an Eagle defender helped the ball into the goal for a 1-0 Falcon lead.

Frankenmuth got back into the game with a quick counterattack and a strong effort to tie the game 1-1.

In the 26th minute sophomore Graham Shepard did a fantastic job earning a Falcon free kick deep into the Eagle half.  Luke Farminer took the free kick and found Jake Loeffler for the header goal.

Freeland closed the half strong with Luke Farminer finding Gosen for the beautiful left footed strike to give the Falcons a 3-1 lead going into the half.

The second half was truly back and fourth.  Frankenmuth struck first with a goal closing the gap to 1 goal.  Minutes later it was junior Owen Senkowski netting a goal off of the Derek Prast assist. 4-2 Falcons.

The Eagles were next to score when they were awarded a PK and brought the game back to a 1 goal differential.  Not to be outdone, Freeland earned their own PK where Gosen scored the games final goal and earning the Falcons the 5-3 victory.

The JV game ended in a 1-1 tie with the loan Freeland goal coming from Derek Prast.

The boys are back in action Tuesday night vs Calvary Baptist.
