Freeland traveled to Frankenmuth for the first road test of the year. Continuing the trend of starting fast, Owen Senkowski found senior Ethan Gosen who fired it past the keeper to take the lead in the 7th minute. The rest of the half remained scoreless with Freeland holding the 1-0 edge.
The second half started with a high level of Falcon pressure. In the 43rd minute Frankenmuth tried clearing a ball which was collected by Avery Thurston who found Zane Stanusek for a long range strike and a goal. Then in the 58th Senkowski earned a free kick just outside the box. Junior Derik Prast took the free kick and placed it in the back of the net to put the Falcons up 3-0
73rd minute Frankenmuth found a late goal ending the game in a 3-1 victory for the Falcons.
Freeland will take the field again this weekend in the Petoskey tournament.
