Sept. 8:

Yesterday we hosted our Freeland Invitational at Vassar GC and finished 5th overall in a field with some very good competition.  Averie Pumford was the medalist finishing first overall with a two over par 76!  Lauryn Myer played great breaking 100 for the first time en route to a personal best 99.  All twelve golfers were on the course today and many of the girls played very well in the wet conditions.  We travel to St. Louis Monday morning for the Shark Classic.

 

Sept. 11:

Great day for the falcons today!  We won the Shark Classic with a 376 (and beating Muth by 15)!  Averie pumford was the medalist (second invitational in a row) with a 76, Reese Conlee received a top 10 medal in 7th place , Alexis Heinz and Lauryn Myer tied in 14th place, and Jocelyn Kretz finished 32nd overall.  It rained all day and on one of the tougher courses we play the girls did excellent finishing with our second best team score of the season!  Next up…back to TVC play where we head to Bay County for the second jamboree of the year.  

 

Sept. 13

In the second TVC match of the season the Lady Falcon golfers went to Bay County golf course and came home with another victory adding 13 more strokes to their cumulative league.  The victory gives us a 24 stroke lead over second place Frankenmuth.  Averie Pumford continued her strong play with a first place finish.  Reese Conlee finished fourth on the day with a very nice 91 moving her up in the overall individual standings.  Alexis Heinz scored for the Falcons and played a steady round that keeps  her in a first team all league position.  Lauryn Myer finished the scoring for the Falcons and keeps herself in the running for all league as well.  Lilly Spencer and Joecelyn Kretz also competed in the event for the Falcons.  Next up, the girls will travel to LPGA tournament site the Midland Country Club to compete at the Dow Invite.

 

Sept. 18

The girls golf team shot their best round of the season at the Midland Country Club scoring 358 and good for second place at the tournament attended by some of the top teams in the state.  Averie Pumford shot a very impressive 75 and was the medalist at her fourth consecutive event.  Reese Conlee and Alexis Heinz each shot their personal bests and earned top ten honors with 88's.  Lauryn Myer finished the scoring on the day for the Falcons and Gia Johnson competed in the event.  The girls played really well on a very demanding course.  Next up is the third TVC event of the season at Pine River in Standish.

 

Sept. 20

The girls golf team won their third consecutive TVC league match yesterday shooting a 385.  Averie Pumford finished in first, and Alexis Heinz finished second.  Reese Conlee moved up in the individual standings and continues to hold onto an all-league position, and Lauryn Myers continues to play well and stay in an all-league position.  Lilly Spencer and Natalie Trudo both competed in the event at Pine River Golf Course in Standish.  Next up, Pine River Country Club in Alma for the Panther Classic.
