The Freeland Baseball team split a pair of games at the Freeland Tri Saturday dropping a morning game in snow flurries to Gladwin 10-2 before bouncing back to defeat Alpena 10-3. Alpena defeated Gladwin 16-1 in three innings in the third game of the Tri.
In game one Colin Dee and Connor Lasceski had hits for Freeland.
Carter McLaren was the winning pitcher against Alpena throwing 4 innings allowing 2 runs on 4 hits and struck out two. Jake Metiva was 2-3 with an RBI while Liam Rump had two hits and Kaden Gerzseny added a hit and 2 RBI.
Freeland is 11-3 and will host Garber in TVC action on Tuesday.
