Freeland beat visiting Meridian last night in a pair of non-league games 12-2 in 5 innings and 9-5.
Sam Kaylor got the win in game one throwing a complete game scattering 6 hits and striking out three. Daniel Duley and Colin Dee were both 2-2 with 3 RBI. Liam Rump had two hits and two RBI, while Kaden Gerzseny added a triple and 2 RBI. Tucker Hileman had 2 hits and an RBI while Brady Shavrnoch added two hits.
Jacob Clawson was the game two winner throwing 4 innings allowing two hits and striking out five. Jake Metiva was 2-3 with 3 RBI. while Dee, Duley, Shavrnoch and Clawson each had 2 hits and an RBI.
Freeland is 10-2 and hosts Gladwin and Alpen tomorrow in Freeland starting at 10 am.
