The 9th ranked Freeland baseball team swept visiting Essexville Garber winning game one 9-3 and were up 6-0 in the 6th inning when a lightning delay ended the contest.
Daniel Duley was the winner in game one, throwing 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 earned runs on just 2 hits and struck out 8. Liam Rump was 3-for-3 with an RBI, Jacob Clawson was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Jake Metiva added a triple and 3 RBI's.
Carter McLaren was the game two winner throwing a 5 inning shutout allowing only 2 hits and struck out 10. Brady Shavrnoch had two hits including a double and RBI and Clawson added a hit and 2 more RBI.
Freeland is 13-3 (5-1 in TVC) and travels downriver this weekend to play in the 8th annual Bob Kreszyn Classic where they will take on Carlson HS, Woodhaven and Trenton.
