The Freeland baseball team was on the road tonight and defeated Birch Run to open TVC play winning 13-2 and 13-3 both in 5 innings.
Karson Worth earned the win in game one throwing 4 and 1/3 innings in relief allowing no runs on just two hits and two walks. Daniel Duley paced the offense going 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI. Colin Dee was 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. Kaden Gerzseny had two hits and an RBI while Jake Metiva had a double and 2 RBI. Tucker Hileman also doubled.
Brady Shavrnoch earned the win in the nightcap, throwing 3 innings allowing 2 unearned runs on two hits and struck out 5. Liam Rump had two hits and two RBI while Connor Lasceski, Jacob Clawson and Gerzseny each had two hits.
Freeland is 3-1 (2-0 TVC) and plays tomorrow at Dow Diamond at 4:30 against Bullock Creek.
